Abstract:
INTRODUCTION
Microbial identification and contamination is the key in microbiology testing where microbiology testing is very complex in term of microorganisms and methods and the significant improvement in microbiology testing methodologies have been made.
I.IDENTIFICATION
In summary microbial identification of contaminant is identification of contaminant bacteria by clear characterization of a certain microorganism through an appropriate method Microbiology testing remains on three method used in microbial identification-Culture-based –method (Traditional method)-PCR (Phenotype identification) In identification of contaminant bacteria there three method-Microscopy: using wet smear or gram staining-Sample culture on non selective media, enrichment, Chromomeric media Followed by Biochemical test for confirmation
II. CONTAMINATION
The contaminants it is accidental( intentionally )or spiking introduced bacteria or microbe in item given and the in testing microbial investigation and detection of contaminant can be direct or indirect by using rapid test or culture
method for detection the specific bacteria introduced.
II.1. spiking of bacteria in sample
Introduce bacteria in item given may be food,water or other chosen item for purpose of internal contol or conservation ,fermentation etc..
CONCLUSION
In implementation of quality control and quality assurance programs for improvement in microbiology testing and microorganism identification remain a constant challenges, errors occasionally occur due to the time of test taking the microbiology testin laboratories have to be encouraged to use rapid and accurate method to reduce arrors and time make the service critical at local market. The technical advanced are molecular diagnostics such as real PCR.
